Welcome to my blog, I guess this is where one might introduce themselves so let’s go.

The name is Alex and I am 28 years old, born and raised in The Netherlands.
My childhood was mostly a happy one with a few kinks in the cable during some years. I won’t mention what they are as I am not comfortable sharing THAT much of myself but suffice it to say I know what it’s like to have to grow up very fast.
Never was one to stay in the same place for a very long time so I’ve lived in a lot of different places in my life. When I was 18 I moved out on my own, but instead of maybe moving to a bigger city, I decided to move across the ocean to the USA. Boston, Massachusetts was my home for nearly 5 years and it was a great experience. I moved there for love, and never had any regrets. After that I moved to Spain, with my parents for a while. Malaga is a wonderful place but it just was never really my thing. Maybe it’s cause I was living with my parents again after 5 years of being on my own. Either way I only stayed there 6 months and after that I headed to Dublin, Ireland.
The plan was to become an Au Pair to two little boys, age 2 and 4. It was awesome. Ireland is such a great country and it’s where I met my current girlfriend. Since then I’ve lived in Finland, Holland, Denver and Cork, Ireland.  So I’ve had a bad case of wanderlust but it feels like it might be subsiding now.

I’ve met people who have changed my life forever during all of this and some of them I am not in contact with anymore. However, they will always be part of me and I cherish them all.

If you want to get in touch with me, please leave a comment and I will reply as soon as I can.

Cheers! 🙂
